The NYU School of Law Office of Alumni Relations hosted the 2010 Law Alumni Association Annual Fall Lecture, “Sharpening the Cutting Edge: NYU Law Alumni at the Forefront of Human Rights Scholarship, Lawyering, and Advocacy” on November 15. The lecture was co-sponsored by the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (CHRGJ).
This event spotlights the activities of the Law School’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice and the work of alumni who are making extraordinary contributions in the field. Speakers will explore topics such as accountability for abuses committed in the name of U.S. national security; the intersection between development and human trafficking; the future of international criminal tribunals; and violence against women.
