The Supreme Court of the United States heard arguments about whether it is legal to fire someone because they are LGBTQ. In one case, Aimee Stephen was fired from her job when she came out to her employer as a transgender woman. The lower courts have ruled that it was illegal, but the Trump administration filed an amicus brief, arguing that gender identity is not covered by Title VII.
