DLA Piper has named Leeds chief Sarah Day as its new UK finance head.
Day, who was featured in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2017, will continue to be based in the Northern city and will be responsible for leading the firm’s finance activities.
She has led the office since 2011 and hands over to new head Allison Page, who will continue to lead the firm’s highways maintenance team.
Page joined DLA Piper in 2005 after two years as a partner at Pinsent Masons.
DLA Piper has seen a number of management changes in the last year, with Tim Clement-Jones standing down as the firm’s London chief last October.
Corporate partner Tom Heylen will replace Clement-Jones this year.
Meanwhile DLA Piper’s UK managing partner Sandra Wallace became the first person based outside of London to hold the position of UK managing partner at DLA since its merger with US firm Piper Rudnick. She took up the role in August 2015, replacing Mark O’Conor.
